1) Can you verify what the maximum data bandwidth is for the two (2) spare single-mode fibers from each dorm fiber demarcation point back to Building 834? The 48 CS will not provide spare fibers, bandwidth is based off the contractors equipment limitations

2) Can you verify what the maximum data bandwidth is from Building 834 to Building 917 with the two spare single-mode fibers? The 48 CS will not provide spare fibers, bandwidth is based off the contractors equipment limitations

3) Can you verify where the fiber demarcation point is in each Dorm Building and in Building 834 and in Building 917? The demarcation for 48 CS fiber is in the main comm room of each building

4) Can you provide a drawing or photo that shows Building 834 in relation to the Dorms and Building 917? Yes

5) The Bosch 12MP Interior Camera (p/n NIN-70122-F0S-12MP) as listed in the SOW requires that this interior camera have an operating temperature of -20 Deg F to 130 Deg F. This camera has an actual operating temperature of -4 Deg F to 104 Deg F. Is the camera’s actual operating temperature range acceptable in lieu of the interior operating temperature listed in the SOW? See new SOW

6) The Bosch 5MP Exterior Camera (p/n NUC-52051-F0E) as listed in the SOW requires that this exterior camera have an operating temperature of -30 Deg F to 130 Deg F. This camera has an actual operating temperature of –22 Deg. F to 122 Deg F. Is the camera’s actual operating temperature range acceptable in lieu of the exterior operating temperature listed in the SOW? See new SOW

7) Can you explain what the purpose of the ComNet (p/n CNMCSFP) Media Converter plays in the design of this system? One ComNet CNMCSFP can transmit one IP Video from one camera over one fiber to a ComNet receiver on the other end of the fiber. There are only two fibers from each dorm back to Building 834. All dorms will stream back to Bldg 917 and then all feeds will stream to Bldg 834.

8) Can you confirm that there are Qty of 111 Bosch (p/n NIN-70122-F0S012MP) Interior Cameras and a Qty of 134 Bosch (p/n NUC-52051-FOE) Exterior Cameras? The camera counts on the SOW only match up with the number of exterior 180 and interior 360 cameras if the Smoke Pit and Parking Lot Cameras are considered to be the interior 360 degree cameras. See new SOW

9) Can you confirm that all Smoke Pit Cameras and all Parking Lot Cameras should be the exterior-rated 5MP Bosch Cameras? See new SOW

10) Can the Samsung 43” (p/n LH43DCJPLGC/EN) be replaced with equivalent Bosch 43” Monitor? Yes

11) Are there any building permits, low voltage permits, etc. required as part of this CCTV installation?

Refer to Section 3 (3rd sentence) in SOW

12) Can the government confirm what portion of the Smoke Pit or what area of the smoke pit structure that the 5MP Exterior Bosch Camera should be mounted and what is the intended view of the camera?

See new SOW

13) Can the government confirm what structure the 5MP exterior Bosch Camera should be mounted to? We understand that the parking lots currently have not coverings at present. See new SOW

14) What is the existing base CCTV Network at Building 1064? How does the government wish the new CCTV Bosch BVMS system to be integrated with the existing CCTV System at Building 104? No longer required

15) Will the government at time of award provide building and site plans in AutoCAD or other CAD format? Yes

16) Are contractors to provide additional storage appliances for the 245 cameras to be installed separate from the existing system? Or are we expanding the existing system? Expanding the existing system

17) Is there a required frame rate and resolution for the camera recording? Any alarm/event recording?

Motion only recording? No. Motion only recording.

18) Can you confirm if there is any asbestos in the areas of buildings that work will be undertaken for this project? See new SOW

19) Can you confirm if the car park areas marked on the drawings (page 20) are to be covered by CCTV in this project? Yes

20) If the car parks are to be covered, can you confirm the purpose of observation in the car park area, (see page 19 of the Buyers Toolkit). Monitor for vandalism/illegal dumping in dumpsters

21) To maximise cyber security, is it a requirement that the cameras and recorders in-built TPM (Trusted Platform Module which is included free of charge on all cameras and recorders) are enabled and configured to encrypt video data across the network between the cameras and the recorders? Yes

22) As this project is to integrate new camera systems into an existing installation, can you confirm that it is the responsibility of the successful contractor to upgrade the firmware on all devices (new and existing) to the latest version published by the manufacturer? No current cameras are covered under base maintenance contract

23) Can you confirm that the firewall indicated in the solicitation's scope of works is to be installed in the EEC and configured to block all unauthorised activity on the Base CCTV system? Yes (note to be undertaken only by the incumbent CCTV maintenance contract as these systems are covered by existing USAFE contracted support.)

24) Is it a requirement to utilise a NTP server to provide a synchronised time source for the new CCTV network? Yes

25) Can you confirm the number of cameras installed on the existing CCTV recorder sited in the Building 917 Manager's Office and the number of camera licences installed on the existing Dorms system? 78 total cameras, 80 camera licenses

26) Can you confirm the provision and installation of an electrical mains power outlet for each equipment location is outside of the scope of this solicitation (i.e. will be the responsibility of others)? In COMM Rms

27) I understand that BT will pull in the single mode fibre from Building 834 (not Bldg 1064 as indicated) to each of buildings 917, 919, 920, 941, 943 and 946. If this is the case and they terminate to their own rack, can you confirm access to those racks to connect from their fibre to our installation? 48 CS has fiber in each dorm. When the project has started by the contractor, access can be coordinated with the 48 CS.

28) Are we required to provide our own rack for active equipment in building 834 or will we will we be given access to an existing rack to accommodate our active equipment? 48 CS would need to know what the contractor is proposing. Just saying a rack or equipment does not tell us what the contractor is looking to provide

29) The indication is that there will be a further connection from Building 834 through 2 x Single Mode Fibre strands, to Building 917. How is the Dorm CCTV network to connect from that point to the network in Building 1064? Are we required to supply additional Fibre modules or Copper Tx modules to provide an interconnect for the same? See new SOW. Building 1064 is no longer a requirement

30) Will the installed fibres terminate into the comms rooms on the ground floor of each building? All fiber cables to building are terminated in the Main comm room for that building

31) A verbal comment was made that the fibre to be provided was 'Dark Fibre' but I see no mention of this in your statement of works. My interpretation of 'Dark Fibre' is fibre that is unused and so I would ask you to clarify that the fibre provided is only for use on this project please? Yes

32) Please supply the actual or estimated length of each fibre so that we know what fibre driver is required. Standard Single Mode SFP

33) Please confirm that User Names and Passwords are available for access to existing Bosch equipment.

Yes

34) How many CCTV Cameras and of what model number, are already deployed in building 917? See new SOW

35) Please advise that any specified power requirement for the provision of power to the proposed and existing racks will be pre-installed to accommodate our requirement? We would specify what that requirement needs to be. See Section 1.2 in SOW

36) The specification does not include for the provision of any UPS (Uninterrupted Power Supply) with battery backup in any location. Please indicate if this is a requirement. The issue being that should the power 'glitch' or go down for a short time, so will all the cameras and the CCTV recording device. No

37) Each Smoke Pit has an electrical supply. Can we utilise this to provide power for the proposed CCTV Camera(s). See new SOW

38) The Smoke Pitts need to be covered but there is no link from each adjacent building to the Smoke Pit. Please indicate your preference for connection between the Smoke Pit and the adjacent building:

a. Wireless link.

b. Catenary wire between the two with an exterior grade network cable attached.

c. Camera mounted at two points on the adjacent building that points directly at the

Smoke Pit from two different angles.

See new SOW

39) There is an issue regarding the monitoring of 'Dumpsters' in certain locations and car parks where trees obscure the view. To negate elements of this, it would be helpful if fibre was also pulled into Building 949. This would allow the car park areas and the Dumpsters of adjacent buildings to be monitored more conveniently and more cost effectively. No

40) The proposed installation of the Sonic Firewall into Building 1064, precludes that we will have access to that location and that there will be a suitable network connection to the SonicWall from the Dorm CCTV network. Can you confirm this or indicate whether we would need to provide the interface/switch from the Dorm CCTV Network termination point (as discussed in question No.3) from Building 917 to Building 1064? No longer required. See new Statement of Work, dated 7 Sep 2018.
