RFQ Questions

1. Is RAF Mildenhall providing all of their own hardware?

-Yes, listed in the SOW para 2c

2. Would the approach of a standalone version of software delivered on a smaller footprint workstation to which one or more workstations can be connected; done as a private network and not through the NIPRNet be satisfactory? This keeps costs down and allows more than one person to use the system if required. You would be connecting the laptop you specified to this small footprint workstation. It is essentially a small server.

-Yes, if this meets the intent of the standalone system identified in the SOW.

3. The current software is accredited for use on the NIPRNet but there are time and expense issues that must be considered when moving to the NIPRNet. Our private network approach will get RAF Mildenhall up and running much more quickly. Planning to move to the NIPRNet can follow as desired.Much of the time and expense of moving to the NIPRNet can be eliminated by moving to a FedRAMP Cloud version of our software when ready.

-No, the intent of having NIPRnet capability is being able to received DISA approval on the APL for future systems. The requirement itself will not be moving to NIPR.

a. The model number of the laptop

-HP 840 G3

-HP Zbook15

b. The operating system used (Windows 7, Windows 10, ?)

-Windows 10 c.The size of the hard drive -840 G3 8gb -Zbook15 has 8gb d.The amount of RAM -Unsure of both e.Is Adobe Acrobat already installed?

-Yes f.Are other software applications to be run on the laptop? If so what are they and would they be in operation while the badge system is in operation.

-No

5. What is the support period required for the system?

-Preferred 2 weeks

6. Is onsite support to be required or will RAF Mildenhall be able to ship the system back to the depot if any issues cannot be resolved via email or phone support?

-Shipped back will work

7. Does RAF Mildenhall want existing RAB data imported into the system? Existing data can be imported from printed reports, spreadsheets, word documents, CSV files, etc.

8. Does RAF Mildenhall want existing image files (ID Photos and signatures) from existing badges imported into the system?

9. Does RAF Mildenhall want more than one year quoted, or do want an economy of scale for three (3) years which will give RAF Mildenhall better pricing?

10. Is this a new requirement or is there an incumbent vendor?

11. The SOW states: The contractor must also demonstrate the capability to receive DOD clearance to operate on NIPR networks .Can the gov’t confirm this is a level US SECRET clearance?

-The intent of having NIPRnet capability is being able to received DISA approval on the APL for future systems. The requirement itself will not be moving to NIPR. The vendor must demonstrate how they meet the DISA requirements for APL approval.
