QUESTION AND ANSWER #1, 29 AUG 08
CONTRACTOR QUESTION:
1. Can the government define what constitutes as “large bulky items of office equipment”?
2. Can the government provide a listing of NHS or Private Hospitals they have had a need for Urgent courier Services in the last year?
3. Can the government provide a time for the Tuesday and Friday Orientation briefing?
4. Any laboratory samples require temperature control while in transit?
5. What will be the governments preferred method of payment, credit card, EFT, or other method?
6. Is this a new requirement or was there a procurement vehicle in place that provided for this service? If yes was it a BPA or contract? If yes, can the government provide the cost for like services procured within the last year?
7. Solicitation closes at 12:00 am, 10 Sep 2008; does the government have an anticipated start date for the contract to commence?
ANSWER:
1. This may constitute items such as chairs, desk, file cabinets, and refrigerators.
2. Addenbrookes Hospital, Royal Free Hospital, Northampton Hospital, Cambridge Cyntogenetics, Cambridge national Blood Service.
3. Tuesday at 1330hrs deliver patient records to RAF Mildenhall Officers Club, Collect at requested time by orientation Management and return some to FSO RAF Mildenhall and return remaining back at RAF Lakenheath
4. No
5. Credit Card, GPC
6. This is a reoccurring requirement; it was last done via BPA. Since this was a BPA the price list cannot be released due to proprietary reasons.
The BPA original ceiling was $25,000 awarded in 2003.
7. The start date will be as soon as possible after closing.
