FA5575-21-B-0002 - QUUG 06-4001 Replace MFH Housing Units - Questions and Answers

Bids Due: 9 June 2021 at 10:00am local time

1. On the CD102 drawing appears in the demolition reference notes, note U05 that refers to the demolition of an existing sanitation well, but in the attached document listing the items to be measured, Attach. 5 - Construction Cost Estimate Breakdown, that unit to be measured does not appear. Is well demolition included in the demolition price of the sanitation pipe or should a new item be included?

Answer:

The Government contemplates award of a Firm –fixed Price contract resulting from this solicitation. The actual extent of work requirements will be governed by the specifications and drawings. Throughout the solicitation, it says bids will be based on, and work will be done, in accordance with the “Specifications and Drawings.” The cost estimate is provided as a courtesy and is not a governing document.

2. The demolition note U13 appears on the CD102 drawing, but the demolition length is not indicated in either house. Does the demolition of the stretch between streetlight and street lamppost comprising access to housing?

Answer:

Note U13 in drawing CD102 points to the underground electrical line sections below access driveway to both Housing units that are repaired and widened under this project. Length to be cut, removed and reinstalled as indicated in the note is up to the civil works required for this renovation and is to be measured on drawings by the bidding Contractor.

3. There is no measurement for the electrical line demolition, do we create one or include it in another line item as electricity?

4. On the L101 drawing there are plants to be relocated that do not appear on attach 5. These units are Fresno, cypress and medlar. Do we create new line items or what do we do?

7. The type of telecommunications manhole is not indicated. What type is it?

Communications manholes are specified in section 33 82 00 – Telecommunications Outside Plant of the specifications. Please review carefully all projects documents to make sure that an item is not indicated.

8. In the C102 drawing, it show connecting the telecommunications trench that leaves the 2 houses, with each of the trench brings 2 tubes, in a single ditch, that ditch is 4 conduits of 2 conduits 2?

No details can be found.

Dwg T501, detail 02 show the telecommunications lines ductbank detail, with 2 110mm diam conduits. All communication ductbanks are to be this type, where the conduits provide enough cross-sectional area to allow for the telecommunication cables required in the project.

9. There are differences in supply and irrigation in drawings C102, PP101 and PP151. In the last two there is a potable water pipe and an irrigation pipe that enters each house, and in the 102 comes 1 potable water pipe and another fire prevention pipe. Which one's okay?

There are three lines: potable, non-potable and fire suppression. Fire suppression is shown in the

FP drawings.

10. In the PP101 and PP151 drawings it appears in a note 2 units of hose and cabinet faucets existing to be reinstalled for each house, and in the C102 drawing these units appear indicating that they are new. Which one's okay?

PP101 and PP105 drawings show the correct statement.

11. The situation of the registration manhole projected in the house 658 does not coincide in the location, according to drawings PS151 and C102. Indicate which is correct, because depending on this the hydraulic standard varies and the length of the tube as well.

Drawing PS151 shows the exact location of the cleanout handhole.

12. The PP101 and PP151 drawings we see that HDPE P100 pipe is of 40mm, and the measurement lines do not appear. Shall we create new line items?
