Attachment 1-Salient Characteristics Document

1. The conveyor belt system will be a total length of ~185' including an outside telescopic boom, inside telescopic boom, multiple straight sections, and two 90 degree angles. The system should have ~33” width with a belt width of ~28’’ and a height of 36’’ throughout. The entire system shall be conveyor belts, not roller or skate wheels.

2. The system shall have emergency stoppers, forward and reverse controls installed on each section and on each side of the belt. The belt should move at a consistent speed of about

20m/min.

3. The conveyor belt system shall be 240 volt.

4. The outside boom should be a total overall length of ~60' when fully extended (~20' when retracted). The outside boom should begin at a height of 36" and the end of the boom should be able to raise to raise up to 48” and lower to at least 24’’ in height and shall have emergency controls and lights at the end.

5. The inside boom should be a total of ~24' long when extended (~19' when retracted). The front of the boom when extended and retracted should be at a height of 36” which is even with the rest of the conveyor belt system. There shall be a safety mechanism to keep the system from starting when the door is closed.

6. Beginning at the base of the inside boom there shall be a flat straight section(s) ~60' in length.

The straight section(s) shall run into a 90 degree bend then another straight section measuring

~10' and on to another 90 degree bend. The second 90 degree bend shall connect to a final straight section ~22' in length.

7. Please see attached diagram and photos of the existing system for a visual representation of what is expected in the conveyor belt system. Remember however that the new system will be at a height of 36” throughout while the previous system will have varying heights.
