About this file

This document is a Requirement Description with Salient Characteristics for Trimble Airfield Surveying Equipment. The requirement specifies the procurement of surveying equipment and accessories necessary for airfield survey operations, detailing the physical, functional, and performance qualities essential for satisfactory use.

The procurement includes the following items: two Trimble R980i GNSS Base stations, two Trimble R980i GNSS Rovers with minimum 650-channel ProPoint positioning engines capable of 2 cm horizontal and 2 cm vertical accuracy with tilt compensation requiring no pole leveling, four Trimble R980i UHF Radio Antennas (rugged "Rubber Ducky" style whip antennas with TNC connectors operating on dual-band frequencies of 450 MHz and 900 MHz), eight Trimble R980i rechargeable batteries, four Trimble R980i battery chargers with dual-slot charging and LED indicators, four weather-resistant and crush/impact-proof transportation cases, two R980i GNSS antenna warranty and firmware update packages covering parts and labor for 12 months with real-time software updates via Trimble Business Center, two carbon fiber lightweight tripods (P/N 90553-TR) capable of withstanding wind gusts up to 5 mph, two lightweight aluminum surveying extension rods (43169-30) with the same wind gust tolerance, and two magnetic mounts with quick-release mechanisms (5114-X7-TR) providing up to 120 lbs of holding force for secure mounting on moving vehicles or metallic survey surfaces.
