About this file
This document is a Requirement Description with Salient Characteristics for FTX UTVs (Utility Task Vehicles). The requirement specifies 11 new UTVs with detailed specifications, including mandatory features such as full-size fixed glass windshield, horn, turn signals, mirrors, and seatbelts. The vehicles must accommodate 6 passengers and include comprehensive safety measures like seat belts and roof cover to minimize potential accident damages.
Key technical requirements include a sensor that limits vehicle speed to 15 mph if the driver's seat belt is not buckled, terrain tires suitable for off-road tracks in Guam's jungle and rough terrain, and compliance with local and military road laws. The UTVs must be shipped directly to Unit 14014, Andersen AB, APO AP, Road 2, 96929, with shipping to Tracy, CA explicitly not acceptable. The document emphasizes the vehicles' capability to handle challenging terrain and meet specific operational requirements for the military unit.
