About this file
This document is a Requirement Description with Salient Characteristics for FTX UTVs (Utility Task Vehicles) to be delivered to Andersen Air Base in Guam. The specification requires 11 new UTVs with specific features including a full-size fixed glass windshield, full-size glass wiper/washer, and capacity to seat 6 passengers with comprehensive safety measures. Additional requirements include a safety sensor that limits vehicle speed to 5 mph if seat belts are not buckled, terrain tires suitable for off-road tracks and jungle environments, and compliance with local and military road laws and regulations.
Critical logistical details specify that the items must be shipped directly to Guam, with shipping to Tracy, CA explicitly noted as unacceptable. The delivery location is Unit 14014, Andersen AB, APO AP, Road 2, 96929. The UTVs must be capable of navigating challenging terrain in Guam, including jungle and rough terrain, suggesting these vehicles are likely for military or specialized operational use in a demanding geographical environment.
