About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file for a 36 MDG Camera Security System solicitation. The project involves installing a new security camera system with 39 dome cameras and 13 PTZ cameras at a facility in Guam, with additional cameras to be added beyond the existing locations. Key requirements include compatibility with Symmetry Enterprise software version 8.1, ability to withstand Guam's harsh weather conditions, 60 days of video storage, and a 6-month project completion timeline (with potential extension up to 1 year due to supply chain delays).
Contractor personnel will need to obtain base access through the DBIDS process, which takes 2-4 weeks, and will require escorted access to restricted areas. The training plan must accommodate 4-7 personnel from Facility Management and Information Systems staff. Warranty and technical support will be provided for 1 year. The system is currently supported in-house and not under an existing contract. Contractors must provide their own installation equipment, create as-built drawings, and ensure all cameras and components are compatible with the existing system.
