REQUIREMENT DESCRIPTION WITH SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS
In detail, please describe those physical, functional, performance, or material element qualities of an item that are essential to ensure that the intended use of the item can be satisfactorily realized.
| Text1: Water Refill Stations |
| Text2: - Contractor will replace one (1) existing water fountain from the Vehicle Maintenance Building (Bldg 18001) with one (1) water refill station. |
- The contractor will install the remaining three (3) water refill stations at the following Vehicle Maintenance Outlying shops: Buildings 18042, 18035, and 26229.
- All new installed material items are to be fully operational and meet all required codes.
- Work shall be completed as to limit the down time for existing business operations.
-The contractor will dispose of the existing water fountain from Bldg 18001. Items should be disposed of properly at an approved off base disposal site location at no additional cost to the government.
- Water Refill Stations:
1. Must be ADA Compliant.
2. Must have recessed dispenser to eliminate cross bottle contamination and allow for wide-mouthed or large containers up to one gallon to be filled with water.
3. Must have the ability to chill water between 40-42 degrees Fahrenheit.
4. Must have an internal drain system.
5. Must have the following certifications:
a. NSF/ANSI 42, 53, 58
b. ISO9001
c. NSF ANSI 372, 61, 51
6. Must be energy efficient.
7. Must have multi-filter/purification system that removes up to 99% of tap water impurities.
