About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) file addressing technical specifications for an active mobile row system with floor rail infrastructure.

The government has provided responses to three key technical inquiries regarding the existing rail configuration. The active mobile row is supported by three parallel metal floor rails. The centerline-to-centerline spacing measurements between rails are 46 inches from the bottom to middle rail and 45 inches from the middle to top rail. Regarding rail profile specifications, the government references attached photos and layout drawings to confirm mechanical guide compatibility. Additionally, the government specifies that the existing rails will require a 33¼-inch extension to accommodate proper spacing when the new rack is installed. Contractors should reference the attached photographs and layout documentation to ensure their proposed equipment is compatible with the existing rail system and accounts for the necessary rail extension requirement.

Text version

1. Rail Configuration: What is the total number of parallel floor rails supporting the active mobile row?

a. Three metal rails

2. Track Spacing: What is the exact centerline-to-centerline measurement (in inches) between each individual floor rail?

a. Looking at the rails bottom to middle is 46 in apart, and middle to top is 45 in.

3. Rail Profile: Can the government provide a cross-section drawing, profile measurement, or clear photographs of the existing tracking rail style to confirm mechanical guide compatibility?

a. Please see attached photos and layout. The rails will need to be extended 33 ¼ in to allow proper spacing when the new rack is placed.
