About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document dated April 24, 2026, related to a federal contract opportunity for Maui Base Operations Support Services and Construction.
The document serves as a supplementary resource to the Sources Sought Notice (FA521526N0001) issued by the 766th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron for the 15th Space Surveillance Squadron located on Maui. Rather than addressing specific products or services required, this Q&A file provides clarifications on the solicitation process, submission requirements, and organizational details relevant to potential vendors interested in responding to future solicitations. The file does not contain substantive information regarding contract pricing terms, specific performance requirements, award dates, or detailed scope of work beyond what was outlined in the initial Sources Sought Notice. As a procedural document, it functions to answer vendor inquiries about the pre-solicitation phase and help interested parties understand the timeline and expectations for potential Base Operations Support Services and Design-Build construction project opportunities that may be procured through one or more contract vehicles by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces.

Sheet1
| 24-Apr-26 | Questions and Answers to Sources Sought Notification FA521526N0001 |
| Q1 | The Sources Sought References “Construction Projects” $350K to $30M. Does this mean the BOS firm needs to “oversee and manage construction contracted by your office to other entities up to $30M; Or does it mean you are looking for the BOS Prime to do (or subcontract) the construction itself? |
| A1 | No specific acquisition strategy has been selected at this time. However, the scenario mentioned in the question, where the BOS firm oversees and manages construction contracted by the government, is an acquisition strategy being contemplated. Specifically, the government is determining the viability of either: 1) a one contract solution for both Base Operations Support (BOS) and Construction, or 2) a multiple award construction (MAC) contract and a separate BOS contract that oversees and manages construction contracts awarded under the MAC. |
| Q2 | When is this project expected to go to bid for contractors? |
| A2 | If any solicitation results from this notice, a solicitation could be issued sometime in calendar year 2007. |
