The offer should be for 20 units per year. This contract will be a base +4 option years contract (5 total years).
*What quantity should we quote on?
20 items per year.
*What period of time will purchase occur?
Orders will occur every year for 5 years as long as the contract options are exercised.
Angle Bracket
*We believe it is 1/8" thick steel A-36?
1/8” thick A-36 steel is correct.
Finishing
*As we understand, the steel members are left raw and subjected to oxidation, Correct?
We do our own priming and painting here to match the rest of the system.
*We noticed that most of the dimensions on these drawings are shown as a 3 place decimal which means tolerance of + /- 005" must be applied is that correct?
Standard metal fabrication practices apply.
*If so it is required that all these dimensions be machined [ extremely costly] rather than using normal fabrication techniques with a tolerance related to same.
General fabrication practices, where holes align exact fit.
Adjustment Bracket
*We understand this to be a machined part, what Radius required in the corners?
1/8"
*How many "Adjustment Brackets" are required?1 per Assembly
*Where is this "Adjustment Bracket" used?Adjuster bracket shall not be attached we bolt it to the main assembly after delivery.
*What material should be used to fabricate these parts, Steel A-36?
Material is A-36 Steel
Materials
*Is it a requirement that all materials for the equipment under this solicitation be of USA origin?
Yes
Materials
*No where on the above drawings is the material of construction specified. We think it is A-36 Steel as stated on item #5 but we require conformation of the same.
Material is A-36 Steel
*Our welding people looked at the assembly welding requirements.

They would like clarification for points A,B and C as noted on the attached Sketch weld XX.

The Government requires these to be 100% welds at 1/8" fillet
Corners should be welded 100% where gauge panel item #2 and #4 and #3 and #4 meets.
Welding
*Are the 1/8" fillet welds noted continuous?
YES
*We assume the grove weld is 45 degree, as we illustrated ,drawing does not specify details o groove welds
45 Degrees is acceptable
*Do you require the groove welds to be ground flush all around?
YES
Gauge Panel Item #2
*Please specify the size of the radius shown, drawing does not specify a dimension for these radii.
R-0.250 same as top plate pedestal assy
