About this file

Summary

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) log for RFQ# FA520926Q0026, a federal grounds and facility maintenance requirement. The solicitation involves grounds maintenance services including grass mowing and trimming, sidewalk and hard surface edging, cleaning of red-painted areas and walking surfaces, and pond maintenance. The proposal submission deadline is July 31, 2026, at 14:00 JST. The Government confirmed that offers are still being actively accepted and indicated that additional related contract renewals are anticipated in the near future.

In response to vendor inquiries regarding site specifications, the Government clarified that pond cleaning follows the schedule outlined in the Performance Work Statement (PWS) Appendix A, with water cleaning occurring twice monthly only during specific on-season months. Building designations were also clarified: Building 706 houses the pond, Building 710 contains the water filtration system, and Building 703 was the site visit location. The Government directed vendors to the PWS and attached appendices for detailed information on quantities including square footage, acreage, linear measurements, and Government estimated labor hours, indicating that exact measurements were disclosed to all vendors in the solicitation documents.

2 General NA

If this project is not the right starting point, are there smaller grounds, cleaning, pond maintenance, or facility-support projects where a newer small business can begin building experience with U.S.

Government work?

As we approach the end of the fiscal year, we anticipate renewing several other contracts in the near future. I highly encourage your team to actively monitor SAM.gov for these upcoming opportunities, as well as any other requirements that may align with your company's capabilities.

3 General N/A

Please provide or confirm the following:

1. Total square footage or acreage of grass requiring mowing and trimming.

2. Linear feet of sidewalks, hard surfaces, and other areas requiring edging.

3. Square footage of the red-painted area, bridge, and walking surfaces requiring cleaning.

4. Pond length, width, approximate depth, surface area, and water volume.

5. Approximate number and quantity of trees, shrubs, hedges, and planting beds.

6. A site plan, aerial image, marked photograph, or drawing identifying the complete maintenance boundaries.

7. Whether pond cleaning is required 12 times annually as shown in Appendix A, or twice per month as stated in paragraph 3.5 of the pre-proposal conference minutes.

8. Whether the applicable location is Building 706 as stated in the PWS or Building 710 as shown in Appendix D.

These quantities materially affect labor, equipment, transportation, and disposal pricing. If exact measurements are unavailable, please confirm whether offerors should rely solely upon the Government’s estimated labor hours in Appendix A.

Question #7 : Please follow the schedule as outlined in PWS Appendix A. The requirement to “clean the water twice a month” applies only to specific months during the on-season.

Question #8: Note that building numbers are also used to identify areas and equipment, not just buildings.

Bldg. 706: Pond Bldg. 710: Water Filtration System Bldg. 703: Location of the pre-proposal conference/site visit

Please refer to the PWS and the attached appendices for the other questions, which contain all the information disclosed to all vendors.
