About this file

This document is a Question & Answer (Q&A) file for Solicitation No. FA520926Q0003, dated 15 Jan 2026, for the Purchase of a New Passenger Bus for the 374th Logistics Readiness Squadron (374 LRS) at Yokota Air Base, Japan. The Q&A addresses several key specifications and requirements, including transmission type (automatic preferred), LED headlights, and acceptable bus models. Potential vendors inquired about vehicle specifications, with two models discussed: the FUSO Aero Ace and Isuzu Gala Mio (M-II), both of which were deemed acceptable to meet the Government Minimum Characteristics Item Information (GMCII).

The document also clarifies seating and safety requirements, confirming that the first-row seats can have three-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seat belts, while subsequent rows can use two-point lap belts. The delivery timeline is specified as summer 2026, with the bus needing to be delivered to the 374 LRS facility as soon as possible.
