About this file

This document appears to be a Q&A related to a Solicitation (FA520524QB034) for a Reverse Osmosis Water Purification Unit (ROWPU) issued by the Department of the Air Force Pacific Air Forces.

The key details are:

  • The ROWPU is required to be capable of operating on 115V 50Hz or 240V 50Hz power, with a preference for a dedicated generator.
  • The end use of the water is to clean a water source and release it to the environment, with the potential for human consumption in contingency operations.
  • The feed water source is brackish water. The water quality requirements include reducing PFOS/A content below 50ppm.
  • The work will be performed in Japan, and the contractor must be authorized to operate and do business in Japan.
  • The solicitation does not obligate the government to award a contract or pay for bid/proposal preparation costs.

What type of SCADA system is onsite?

Is the system to be rated for electricity service for Japan or the USA?

Is a delivery time of 120 days acceptable? Yes

None, we are looking to add SCADA system later on at the shop located on the oposite side of the installation from the work site, thus we are requesting a transmitter be incorporated to the unit if possible

115V 50HZ is most prevalent, but 240V 50HZ is available on the work site; a dedicated genetator for the unit is desired but not necessary in case of power outage.

The intent is to clean the source and release to the environment

Is fresh water, mostly rain

Yes
