Q) What is the reason for the specific size of the tank?

This tank size was selected after measuring our prospective parts and finding the dimensions that will best suite the application for our M61A1 gun.

Q) What chemistry are you using in the tank?

The T.O. specifically mentions “Brulin Formula 815GD” as an authorized cleaning solution, and that will be the solution we will use.

Q) What are the cleanliness specifications?

The cleaning specification is to remove bulk/caked-caked on grease from small units, and between close-tolerance spaces such as on our ammunition chutes.

Q) What is the weight of the part(s) per tank/basket size?

The combined weight of the parts being placed in the basket at one time is less than 200 lbs.

Q) What is the delivery needed on the machine?

The majority of the systems I’ve seen are shipped mostly assembled, and just require minor assembly/plug and play.

Q) What is the contamination needed to be removed from the parts?

Aircraft Grease, such as MIL-PRF-23827

Yes, But that will be accomplished utilizing low-pressure compressed air.

Q) How are the parts presented to the part washer?

Hand loaded into the basket, and manually lowered into the basin.

Q) How are the parts removed from the part washer?

Removing the basket and manually loading into the rinse basin.

Q) Are they bulk washed or positioned in trays or fixtures?

Bulk washed

Q) Manual or auto load?

Manual

Q) What is the throughput?

We will be running 2-3 wash cycles per gun, and we average about 1-2 guns a month. This would put an estimated throughput of about 6 wash cycles/month.

Q) What are your hours of operation?

Monday-Friday, 0700 – 1600 AKST.

Q) Reference Manufacturer?

Greymills, and OmegaSonics both are reputable names in the ultrasonic cleaner industry.
