Text version
Section 1.0 of the Performance Work Statement states: “The contractor shall provide all management, labor, material, parts, equipment, transportation, certifications, and tools necessary to clean, inspect, repair (assume 10 surface spot repairs)…” Can the Air Force confirm that the spot repairs are tank coating repairs and define the square footage of each spot repair? Repairs can be for tank coating or metal repair;
Assume 20 SF per spot repair. Can the Air Force provide the coating repair specifications that must be followed? AF does not have that specification. Intent is for the contractor to submit a spec for approval that will meet the required NFPA approval.
Section 3.0 of the Performance Work Statement states: “All cleaning, inspection, repairing, and certification of damage, broken, or worn parts are to be done in a manner that ensures that the tank is fully compliant for storing fire suppression water”. Can the Air Force confirm that structural repairs, identified during the NFPA 25 inspection, are not included in the base bid cost? Structural repairs are not to be included in the base bid cost.
Section 1.0 of the Performance Work Statement- will the tank be emptied prior to the cleaning, inspection, and repair work? The tank is currently drained and sitting with 3 inches of water at the bottom.
