MEMORANDUM FOR RECORD

SUBJECT: FA5004-21-Q-0007 CHPP Custodial Solicitation / Site Visit Q&As

The following questions have been asked on the site visit for the above mentioned RFQ on Eielson AFB:

1. 2.0 General Information- Lists bathrooms in Zone 5 but the frequency in Section 7.0 Appendices schedule doesn’t indicate bathrooms in this zone require cleaning. Do the bathrooms in Zone 5 require service and if so what is the frequency?

The bathrooms in Zone 5 require daily service as part of Zone 7.

2. What is the square footage for Zone 7?

7,100 sq ft

3. What is the square footage of the carpet in Zone 7?

700 sq ft

4. How many urinals, toilets, and showers require cleaning?

7 urinals / 10 toilets / 15 showers

5. How many trash receptacles are throughout the facility and what are their sizes?

25 33 gallon cans / 15 13 gallon cans

6. What type paper product dispensers are used throughout the facility?

8” wide en motion

7. Is there a pre-approved or preferred paper product brand for this facility?

No.

8. What type of soap dispensers are used throughout the facility?

Gojo

9. Is there a pre-approved or preferred soap brand or type for this facility?

No.

10. Are there any soap and paper products needed for stocking in zones 1-6?

Zone 5 – 1st floor hand wash station

11. Are there incumbent employees?

No.

12. What type of ladders, lifts, or scaffolding are required?

6’ ladders should be sufficient to reach all necessary areas, however, a lift capable of reaching 20' will be required to reach the higher areas on the upper levels of the plant.

13. 1.0 General Scope- There is a requirement for a minimum of two personnel per shift to perform cleaning duties safely. Do the employees have to be in the same zone at the same time?

Yes.

14. 5.0 Government Furnished property and services item 5.2 cleaning closet: is this closet reserved for use by this contract only or do multiple entities use this storage space?

This closet is for use by the contractor, but also allows plant access.

15. Section 1.0 states “Zone 1 through 6 shall be serviced on a 6-week, rotating schedule. For example, zone 1 would be serviced during week one, zone 2 during week two, and so on. Upon completion of the sixth (6) work zone, the schedule would then repeat.”. This appears to conflict with Section 7.0 table were there are daily tasks within Zones 1 and 6. Please clarify if the daily tasks are expected to occur daily, for example during the month of March the Zone 1 drinking fountain will be sanitized once per day Mon-Fri for the entire month, a total of 23 times in March 2021.

Trash and fountains located in Zone 1 through 6 are cleaned daily, while other tasks are on a rotating schedule.

16. Section 1.0 states “Zone 1 through 6 shall be serviced on a 6-week, rotating schedule. For example, zone 1 would be serviced during week one, zone 2 during week two, and so on. Upon completion of the sixth (6) work zone, the schedule would then repeat.”. This appears to conflict with Section 7.0 table weekly tasks within Zones 1 and 6. Please clarify if the weekly tasks are only supposed to occur once a week every 6 weeks? For example, if Zone 1 floors are swept the week of March 1st, following the weekly zone rotation the next time the floors would be swept is the week of April 12th?

That is correct, weekly tasks occur once a week every 6 weeks as part of that zone.
