EIE89 Questions and Answers
1) Document A1, Bullet Point 9 (Period of Performance) calls for completion as of 9/21/20, with an expected completion date of 9/7/20. With the Covid-19 issue as well as the FSE equipment summer season (ISD orders are placed in heavy rotation), several of the longer leadtime items such as Exhaust Hoods, Custom Fab Work, or Walk-Ins run 8-10 weeks (or longer) from point of order to delivery onsite. Please advise as to whether this is a firm finish date, as several of the listed manufacturers may have difficulty meeting the 9/7 target date.
a. Due to the mission needs of this project timelines are firm with minor exceptions able to be worked on an individual/ASAP basis. Additionally, all CFCI identified items(walk-ins, exhaust hoods, etc) on the attachments are included/installed as part of the build contract and are not required as part of the Satellite DFAC
Kitchen Equipment Solicitation
2) Additionally regarding question 1 and the current timeline, please advise as to expected turnaround time for submittal approval.
a. After closeout of the solicitation on 15 Jul 20, we anticipate milestones of 17 Jul
20 to complete evaluations with a projected award date of 22 Jul 20.
3) Regarding Document A1, installation services are required. To clarify, please advise if we are required to make final Mechanical/Electrical/Plumbing connections (or whether there is a site electrician/plumber available).
a. See 1a. above, only those items listed as GFGI (Kitchen Equipment Schedule) are part of the solicitation as all other items are installed as part of the build contract.
4) Will Stainless Steel Trim for the wall and ceiling be required for Items 11 & Item 16
(Walk-In Cooler/Freezer)?
a. Items 11 & 16 will be installed as part of the build contract and are not part of the solicitation.
5) Will a ramp be required for Items 11 & Item 16 (Walk-In Cooler/Freezer)?
a. Items 11 & 16 will be installed as part of the build contract and are not part of the solicitation
6) Will Exhaust/Make-Up Air Fans be required for the Exhaust Hoods (Item 56 & Item 81)?

7) Will Fan Balancing be required for the Exhaust Hoods (Item 56 & Item 81)?
8) Will Stainless Steel Trim for the wall and ceiling be required for Items 56 & Item 81

9) Are we required to move and dispose of the old equipment?
a. This is a new build, as such there is no previously installed equipment to be moved or disposed of
10) Will Items 11 and 16 (Walk-In Cooler/Freezer) require a floor, or does the current box use a reinforced concrete slab/insulation model?

11) Please confirm ceiling height at the facility (for Exhaust Hoods hanging)
