Amendment 3: Questions and Answers COA 9/18/2024
1. Appendix 1 pricing schedule does not have all the quantities listed for the last 4 items in the COMBO document and doesn’t have the last 3 in the Attachment 2 document. Do you want the vendor to fill that in with the numbers off your salient characteristics document, or will you update and post as a Mod? Or since you’re asking for the items to hold enough of the equipment being offered, do you intend for the vendor to bid an item and place their own qty required?
There are no quantities listed for items 17, 18, and 19 as the specifications call for “Shall provide enough storage to store __”. These quantities are at your discretion. For example, if you can provide a quantity of 1 to store all items needed, then that is the quantity you would provide on the pricing list/in your quote.
A modification will be made to the solicitation/synopsis document along with these answers updating the item quantity on the pricing schedule for item 16 to match the salient characteristics-this quantity is 12
2. The salient characteristics document is written using the exact wording off the marketing material from Sorinex. The use of the word “Shall” is used on almost everything and makes it nearly impossible for other companies to bid their items. It’s unduly restrictive as written and beneficial to one company the as specified brand. Please remove the Shall requirement when describing how items are built as it’s not part of the Army's ACFT requirements document.
This solicitation is made as a “brand name or equal” requirement. Please see section (viii) of the Synopsis/Solicitation for details. There is no restriction on sources or companies that may provide this brand.
3. On the salient characteristics it states the QTY of the KB to be 24-40lb and 24-53lbs. Can you let me know which QTY needs to be priced for the bid.
The quantity for the Kettlebells is listed below; this will be updated in the pricing schedule at the time this document is posted.
40lb Kettlebells: 24 53lb Kettlebells: 24
4. For Line item 17, 18, & 19 - we do not have quantities, are these just 1?
There are no quantities listed for these items as the specifications call for “Shall provide enough storage to store __”. These quantities are at your discretion. For example, if you can provide a quantity of 1 to store all items needed, then that is the quantity you would provide on the pricing list/in your quote.
5. For line item 15 - you ask for a 53lb kettlebell, is it supposed to be 55lb?
The salient characteristic document is correct in asking for 53lb kettlebells
6. For line item 11 - is 2x3 acceptable as these are the standards for 11-guage yokes?
The minimum requirement for the composition of the pull-up yoke is 11-gauge steel.
7. It appears the delivery address in the attachments is incomplete. When you have a moment, could you kindly provide the correct delivery address?
Shipping will be to JBER, AK 99506. Address will be on awarded contract.
