Marquee Frames Q&A

Questions

“Are we just replacing the frames on these frames or the entire signs?

Sijuan & Arctic Warrior Do we reuse the same screens?

Do we take it down to the concrete and use new anchor bolts for the new frame? There is a fair amount of rust involved there and brand new hardware would look better.

Do we clean up the CMU “flower bed” around the base or treat that as no touch? Making it go away might clean up the overall look.

On the building The frame looked fine on this. Are we really replacing the frame?

Are we replacing the sign on the frame? If so, is there already a design?

Does the sign need power ran to it….pictures we have, show a junction box near without any conduit between the two. “

Answers

We are reusing the same screens that are already there. Our signage is still functional, only the thing that will be replaced is the framing.

Yes, please take it down to the concrete for the frames and replace with new hardware Flower bed is not listed in the SoW. Treat as no touch.

Arctic Oasis, Bldg. 9497.

1. This signage has already been removed as the actual frame rotted and caused the frame to fall over. The sign that will go in this location is currently at the 773d Logistics warehouse. This sign’s location is on 20th street and is a concrete block that near the entrance on 20th for the building. I have attached photos of the sign after the fall for reference.

Both signs will need power to the location. The Arctic Oasis Marquee received power from the building and the junction box was located inside the facility.
