IPTV Q&A’s

Q: Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this? (Like, from India or Canada)

A: Parent company must be a USA Company. The information will not be Sensitive or For Official Use

Only (FOUO), but if the onsite administrators cannot complete the installation the contractor will be required to be onsite and access government facilities. However, due to security concerns, remote access is not available.

Q: Whether we need to come over there for meetings?

A: As of now, meetings will not require the physical presence of the contractor

Q: Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside USA? (Like, from India or Canada)

A: Due to security concerns, remote access to government systems is not available. Providing the service for the IPTV can be done remotely as long as it does not require access to government system.

Q: Can we submit the proposals via email?

A: Yes

Q: Are you requesting that an engineer come onsite to physically install, power, network and configure the devices?

A: As of now the onsite administrators will install the hardware and complete the network connections and power. If the administrators cannot complete the remaining configuration, and phone support assistance has been exhausted, the vendor must complete the install.

NOTE: Please bid as though you will be onsite, in the event it is required.

Q: If engineers are not required would ALCOM would be responsible to physically install, power and network all devices?

A: Yes, ALCOM administrators are anticipating they will be able to install all equipment successfully, however if they cannot, and phone support assistance is ineffective, they will require contractor personnel onsite to assist.
