Purpose:
This is a Request for Information for a tentative requirement supporting the 673 FSS Quartermaster
Laundry Facility (QLF), which processes 4 million pounds of laundry a year. The QLF requires laundry chemicals and an automated laundry chemical distribution system with the capability to distribute chemicals to eleven industrial wash machines located in the facility (as further defined in the attached
Draft Performance Work Statement (PWS). As part of its market research, the 673d CONS is issuing this
RFI to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested Contractors capable of providing and installing the laundry chemical distribution system, as further described in the Draft PWS.
The Government may use the responses to this RFI for information and planning purposes. The Draft
PWS describes only the currently contemplated possible scope of services and may vary from the work scope in a final PWS included in any Request for Quotations (RFQ). The anticipated period of performance is: 1 April 2020.
This RFI is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of the 673d CONS market research. No RFQ exists; therefore, do not request a copy of the RFQ.
Responses to this RFI are not quotes on which the 673d CONS can issue any Schedule orders. This RFI is issued for information and planning purposes only and does not itself constitute a Request for Quotations
(RFQ).
All information received in response to this RFI marked “Proprietary” will be protected and handled accordingly. Interested parties are responsible for adequately marking proprietary or competition sensitive information contained in their response.
Responses to the RFI will not be returned. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. The 673d CONS will not pay for information received in response to this
RFI.
There is no commitment by the Government to issue an RFQ, make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by industry responses to this RFI. Do not submit pricing information in response to this RFI.
Questions regarding this RFI must be submitted to Mr. Stuart McElhinney and A1C Kasie Biller by 4:00 pm on 15 January 2020.
Responses to the RFI questions, shall be emailed, no later than 2:00 pm (EST) on 17 January 2020, to Mr. Stuart McElhinney and A1C Kasie Biller.

Questions:
1. What is your company’s marketing strategy for selling the chemicals and providing and maintaining a laundry chemical distribution system?
2. Does your current pricing include the cost for shipping to Alaska?
3. Interested parties shall specify the North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) code, Federal Supply Classification (FSC) used, and the current business size and SBA type of their company. This procurement is to be set aside for small business.
4. Please provide information on past or current contracts similar in nature to the RFI; please include business/government entities and the contract number(s), contact name(s), email address(es), and phone number(s). Size, scope, and complexity should be addressed.
