Statement of Work (SOW)
Asphalt Requirements
Government Pickup: Asphalt supplier shall be responsible for loading the Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) into government supplied dump trucks. The government will provide 24 hour notice prior to picking up CLIN 1, 2, 5, 6, 7 or 8, Monday through Saturday.
The government will provide 3 days notice prior to picking up CLIN 3 and 4. The government will give 48 hour notice for any Sunday pick up requirements.
Pickup Hours: Standard government operating hours are 7:00 A.M. through 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday. During summer construction season (generally May- October) the government may arrange for pick-up of HMA after 5:00 p.m. pending status of Asphalt Suppliers HMA plant operations. The government will give 72 hour notice for any asphalt pick-up required after 9:00 P.M. Upon receipt of any material, weight tickets shall be provided for each load to the government representative receiving such material.
Standards: Asphalt suppliers will produce all mix designs within standard specification outlined within each attached CLIN. All material and batch testing will be IAW industry ASTM standards. Temperature of batched HMA will be within specification of PG graded asphalt binders. Re-heating will not be permitted.
Quality Control Test Reports: Asphalt Supplier shall provide quality control test results of all materials in accordance with the specifications for each mixture type upon request of the Heavy Repair Shop, 773d Civil Engineer Squadron.
