MARRIAGE CARE and SINGLES RETREATS (Within Anchorage)
For JBER, AK
1. DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: A hotel with meeting space is needed for an off-site military
Marriage Care retreat. The contractor shall provide a facility within the Anchorage, Alaska area.

AAA. The purpose of the retreat is to enhance marriages and sustain positive, enriched relationships for Airmen and Soldiers. Marriage Retreats will have up to 30 couples per retreat, and Singles Retreats will have up to 35 singles per retreat.
Retreats are more intimate and spiritual than conferences. Retreats, by design, are held in a location apart from normal workday and family life. Ideally they should be in a setting that is conducive to strengthening marriages and enhancing relationships. For this reason, this initiative will follow the USAF Chaplain Corps Marriage Care Retreat Program. Specifically, 673d ABW/HC will focus on providing couples with the opportunity to get away from the installation and focus on their marriage relationship.
