1. Could you tell me who is the normal ISP that you have on base that would be most likely to have services running to the buildings already? There is no normal provider. Current provider is GCI.

2. Could you expand on this:

3.1.7. Firewalls for sufficient screening and safety.

Can you further define what that means, specifically are we just talking about content filtering or are we talking about firewall-based anti-virus?

A vendor provided firewall is required. No content filtering is required. Industry standard security is required.

3. Will the local IT manage the wireless network, or do you prefer the vendor to manage the network?

Prefer vendor based management with some permissions provided to the local IT staff.

4. Cabling: Are there any special requirements for cabling to the access points? Cat-6, Cat-6a, conduit required? Will there be difficult access from the IDF to the AP locations?

The cable runs are in an area with no secure requirements so shielding shouldn't be an issue and there are no visual inspectability requirements. Should be straight forward.

See attached document, UFC 3-580-01, section 2-6.2.

5. Switches. Are there switches on site for the Wi-Fi network or will switches need to be included in the bid for the project?

If switches are part of your solution, you must provide them. There is no government owned contractor operated network equipment in this solicitation.

6. Firewall. Will a firewall be provided by the vendor for this project as well? Will there be any requirement for content filtering or security?

A vendor provided firewall is required. No content filtering is required. Industry standard security is required.

7. For those who cannot attend the site walk, will pictures be provided of the IDF locations for each building?

Yes, SrA Davila will provide pictures of each of the IDF locations for each building.

8. Will 673d provide an actual user speed?

User speed in bldg. 600/A139 was Download 9.04 Mb/s and Upload 0.42 Mb/s – this is the oldest system in place.

9 a. Can you verify that the building 600 site actually requires a 1 gbps internet connection, the price for a connection that fast is extremely high.

Yes - Bldg 600 Soldier For Life Transition Assistance Program (Rooms B248, B243, and B241)

9 b. Location/pictures of Bldg. 600 comm room –

Main Comm is located in the basement B43 – East Wing (pdf floor plans are attached).

10. The floor plans provided indicated areas (pink highlight) of coverage. However, the contact/local users indicated differently as follows different areas increasing the required coverage:

Bldg # Description FBO floor plan 8535 Log Building Small classroom. Large classroom and Resource room

Coverage area Contact Coverage New coverage 2,000 sf All of building estimate 22,000 sf Bldg # Description FBO floor plan 7153 Matanuska Bldg Rm 2, 5 & 6

Coverage area Contact Coverage New coverage 2,300 sf All of office floor 5,000 sf Bldg # Description FBO floor plan 4986 Wounded Warriors Resource room

Coverage area Contact Coverage New coverage 170 sf All of building estimate 5,000 sf Bldg # Description FBO floor plan 600 Multi story Listed locations

Coverage area Contact Coverage New coverage Listed No changes -

11. Please verify you expect each building have 100 simultaneous users.

(see top of page).

12. We need drawings that include the D-Marc locations.

See attached drawings.

13. If the existing cabling can be used for this project? (Copper & Fiber Optic Cabling). See attached document, UFC 3-580-01, section 2-6.2.

**Main concern is making sure that coverage and speed is maintained and unlimited; irrespective of the amount of users in the small/large/resource classroom at the same time.
