About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for federal contract opportunity FA489726QC033 addressing concrete foundation materials for Mountain Home Air Force Base.

The document clarifies four key aspects of the concrete work scope: (1) Item 0003 requires 6 short loads of concrete, defined as loads less than the standard 10 cubic yards per truck; (2) Item 0004 involves 6 separate concrete pours totaling 287 cubic yards—Footer (37 CY), T-Block (68 CY), Cap (27 CY), Interior Slab Outside Lanes (95 CY), Interior Slab Inside Lane (48 CY), and Ramps (12 CY)—with four of these pours (Cap, Interior Slab Outside Lanes, Interior Slab Inside Lane, and Ramps) requiring pump truck services; (3) a line pump with 2-inch hose size is sufficient for concrete delivery, with maximum hose distance of 70 feet; and (4) the delivery location is on Mountain Home Air Force Base property, accessible via a provided GPS pin rather than a formal street address. Contractors should reference the attached geographic pin for site location and contact the contracting officer if unable to access the digital mapping or if a formal address is needed for processing purposes.

FA489726QC033 – Concrete Foundation Materials

Questions and Answers

1. For Item 0003, we need to know if any short loads will be required?

a. Can you please verify what you mean by short loads? I’m assuming this references a concrete truck being less than full. If so, you may reference the below pour schedule.

Assuming 10 CY per truck, we will require 6 short loads.

Please let me know if I have misinterpreted the question!

2. For item 0004, we need to know how many pours will be conducted as each pour will involve minimum costs for a pump. We would also need to know the quantity of material to be poured for each time.

a. There will be 6 pours in the order of the below. Each line highlighted in red will require a pump truck.

Pours Amount

[CY]

1. Footer 37

2. T-Block 68

3. Cap* 27

4. Interior Slab (Outside Lanes)* 95

5. Interior Slab (Inside Lane)* 48

6. Ramps 12

*Pump Truck Required

3. We are assuming a line pump versus a boom pump. Please specify the maximum distance for the hose and size hose requested. The minimum hose size / pump is 2". Please validate that a

2" line pump will suffice?

a. Correct, we will need a line truck. The maximum distance will be up to 70’. A 2” hose size is sufficient.

4. Please provide a specific delivery address.

a. There is no address associated with the site—please reference the attached pin. Note, the location will be on Mountain Home Air Force Base Property. Please reach out if there are issues opening the pin, or if you need a formal address for processing.
