Questions and Answers

1. Would 1.5-inch ballast be considered acceptable in place of the specified 4-inch ballast?

a. NO. Ballast must be 4-inches.

2. For the concrete portion of the work, is there an area on site where a contractor could stage equipment? This would be helpful, especially if the contractor is traveling from farther away, as it could allow them to begin work more efficiently.

a. Yes. The Contractor will enter through the Grand View Gate Commercial Entrance and will need escorted to the construction site (see coordinates in image below). On the construction site, there will be an area set aside for laydown/staging that the Contractor may use. Contact information for escort will be provided upon award of contract.
