SPECIFICATION SHEET
Mountain Home AFB, ID
Heavy Duty Milling Machine
3 June 2024
1. GENERAL: The 366th Maintenance Squadron located on Mountain Home AFB, ID requires two (2) heavy duty milling machines to include delivery of all equipment.
2. HEAVY DUTY MILLING MACHINE MINIMUM SPECIFICATIONS: The heavy duty milling machines must (at a minimum) comply with the following salient characteristics:
2.1. Physical Characteristics
2.1.1. Vertical milling machine capable of removing large quantities of material while maintaining rigidity and repeatable accuracy in finished parts.
2.1.2. Table size of 10” X 54”
2.1.3. X axis table travel: 30.5”
2.1.4. Y axis table travel: 17.5”
2.1.5. Z axis (knee) travel: 15.05”
2.1.6. Ram travel / swivel: 18.5” / 360 degrees
2.1.7. Spindle quill travel: 5”
2.1.8. X, Y and Z-axis powerfeeds
2.1.9. Trip release quill feed rates: 0.00015”, 0.0003”, 0.0006”.
2.1.10. Twin Swivel R8 Spindle
2.1.11. 3HP Digital variable Spindle motor
2.1.12. Spindle Low Range: 60-500 RPM / High Range: 500-4500 RPM
2.1.13. Head tilt Front to Back: 45-0-38 degrees
2.1.14. Head Tilt Left to Right: 90-0-90 degrees
2.1.15. Head swivel: 360 degrees
2.1.16. Power requirements: 220 VAC, 15 Amps 3-phase.
2.1.17. Machine weight: 2750 Pounds Max.
2.1.18. Overall machine dimensions: 65” X 66” X 87”.
3. DELIVERY / WARRANTY INSTRUCTIONS
3.1. Warranty shall include all parts for one year after delivery.
3.2 Delivery – Must be delivered and offloaded via vehicle with lift gate capable of supporting the milling machines. It will be delivered to the door only for offload.
Government will be responsible for transportation to installation location.
4. INSTALLATION: No installation required – Contractor will be responsible for delivery only (to include offloading on-site). Installation will be conducted by 3rd party licensed electrician.
5. TECHNICAL SUPPORT: Following completion of delivery and drop off, the Contractor shall provide technical support if there are any issues either by telephone or in person.
6. SPECIFICS:
3.1. Shipping must be included in the quotation.
3.1.1. Contractor shall deliver to metals tech facility – 865 Alpine St. Suite 117, Mountain Home AFB ID, 83648.
3.1.2. Delivery will be no later than 30 days after date of contract (ADC).
3.1.3. Contractor shall schedule delivery with the point of contract 48 hours prior to delivery.
