QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
FA489721QM002
Hospital Linen 19 February 2021
1. I’m filing out the information, do I need a sub contractor? Also how much in all? I see 12 items for each thing listed or that 12 months for the contract? I’m trying to get a better understanding of this. Can a tractor trailer hold all the items? Or is it fine to have a 26ft box truck?
a. Per paragraph 4.1.1.13 of the Statement of Work (SOW) and appendix 4 the Government will inspect the contractor’s facility. In order to inspect the facility the facility must be within 100 square miles of Mountain Home AFB, ID. The Government has amended the Contract Line Item Numbers (CLIN), CLIN description, and CLIN Unit of Measure, see amendment 1. The contractor may choose whether a trailer or truck is used for delivery of laundered items.
2. Could you please tell me if the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation posted as solicitation number
FA489721QM002 will be a follow-on requirement to any work performed currently or in the past, or will this be a new requirement?
a. The Government currently has a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) in place, FA489719A0003. The current BPA holder has failed multiple facility inspections, thus, the Government now requires a contract.
3. Would you know the estimated annual poundage or the average weekly pound estimate?
Who is the current contract number and award amount?
a. The Government does not have an estimated poundage and the current BPA in place has failed multiple inspections; see amendment 1. See answer to question 2.
