Questions and Answers Fire Suppression 09 January 2020
These are the following industry standard questions as followed:
Q1. CLIN 0001 for Inspect, test, maintain is requesting a price per month. The work being requested occurs every 6 months. We can develop a yearly cost and divide by 12 to get to a monthly fee, but it really doesn’t mean much. Is there a purpose for the $/month pricing?
A1. The quantity and unit of issue have been changed to reflect the services being performed. Your quotation must price out the services accordingly.
Q2. Will we be able to inspect/maintain multiple hoods on the same day?
A2. Yes
Q3. Can you confirm when the last 6 month inspection was completed on each hood and when the last 5-12 year inspections were completed?
A3. To the best of our knowledge the last 6 mo. inspection took place at the end July 2019 and some (BK, Popeye’s and Taco Bell) were completed the first week of August 2019. There is no clear record of the last hydro tests.
Q4. CLIN 0004 Parts. What parts are to be priced for this CLIN?
A4. 1- CLIN 0004, 1004, 2004, 3004, 4004 have been removed.
A4. 2- The parts that are required to be replaced every 6 months in accordance with NFPA 17A shall be included in the services provided under CLIN 0001, 1001, 2001, 3001. Your quotations should reflect this. Please see the updated PWS that outlines the number of systems and parts to be replaced.
