About this file
This Performance Work Statement (PWS) details the requirements for replacing engines and repairing a 2003 Boston Whaler boat trailer for the Department of the Air Force Air Combat Command. The primary objective is to replace two inoperable 2014 Mercury 250 four-stroke engines with two new 2024 Mercury four-stroke engines on a Boston Whaler Model 27. The contractor must procure and install all necessary peripheral equipment, including fluids, filters, fuel water separators, trim tabs, depth finder GPS, harnesses, wiper kit, ignition switches, batteries, and other components to ensure full engine and boat compatibility.
Additionally, the contractor must inspect and repair the boat's metal deck plate, perform fiberglass repairs, and restore the boat trailer to fully operational condition. This includes replacing LED light grommets, clearance lights, harness, winch cable, tires, wheel bearings, wood planks, and brake system. The work will be performed at the contractor's facility, with operational testing to be conducted at Lake Mead or another agreed location. The contractor must complete all services within 30 days of contract award, with a final inspection and one-hour operational water testing to verify the boat and trailer's functionality.
