About this file
This document is a Questions and Answers file for the 355 CES Data Center Design Training Course Requirement, addressing three key inquiries from potential training providers. The document seeks clarification on certification exam delivery, preferred certifying institutes, and study material format for a data center design training course. Specifically, 355 CES wants the training course to directly offer the exam certification, rather than providing a separate exam voucher, and is interested in recognized certification providers like CNET CDCDP, IDCA DCIP/DCEP, and BICSI DC101/102. Regarding study materials, the agency requires either digital or hard copy formats, with the stipulation that digital materials must be unlicensed and accessible using standard government computer software like PDF and Word, without requiring additional third-party applications.

Questions and Answers for 355 CES Data Center Design Training Course Requirement
1. For the Data Center Design Training Course and Certification, do participants require exam vouchers? The course should offer the exam. 355 CES would not be interested in a 3rd party offering the training and then receive a voucher for the exam certification. 355 CES is not even sure how that would work for this type of certification and would need additional information.
2. Additionally, is there a preferred certifying institute for the Certified Data Center Design Professional (CDCDP) certification? 355 CES’ understanding is only CNET CDCDP, IDCA DCIP/DCEP, and BICSI DC101/102 are recognized training and certifications. 355 CES believes there is one other organization. 355 CES is looking for known providers, with a proven record, to facilitate this training and certification process.
However, it is important to note that there is not just 1 recognized certification for the entire industry. It is more about who has been doing it and how well is it received by the data center industry.
3. Do you require study materials in a digital format, hard copy, or both? Study materials can be provided digitally or hard copy (or both). If provided only digitally, it must be an unlicensed version that does not require any formal software, other than what is normally found on a government computer (PDF, Word, etc.). 355 CES should not expect attendees to require third party applications to access this material.
