FA487724QA235 – Questions and Answers
1. Can the base fiber from Bldg 4100 to Bldg 5010 be used?
No, base fiber will be reserved for AF purposes.
2. Is there available base fiber between Bldg 5010 and Bldg 3750 that could be used?
No, base fiber will be reserved for AF purposes.
3. Can outdoor PtP radios be mounted on the outside of Bldg 4100 DFAC?
Yes, the radio and frequency specs will be approved through the base spectrum manager
4. Can equipment be co-located in existing DFAC building rack?
Yes, equipment can be collocated but should have its own rack separate from base NIPR equipment
5. Is there asbestos, lead based paint, or environmental concerns anticipated in Bldg 4100?
The latest official asbestos and environmental survey in 2019 showed no identification of Asbestos Containing Material (ACM) in the interior of Bldg 4100. There is a possibility of ACM in the roofing but further survey/testing would need to be performed. Any drilling or penetration of the roofing should be coordinated with 355 CES.
6. Can existing cable pathways from communication closets to Wi-Fi equipment be used?
Preexisting physical cabling can be used
7. Is the 100Mbps bandwidth to be symmetrical or asymmetrical?
Asymmetrical, the use of commercial internet around base would be consistent with home use. Download will be of higher value than upload
8. Is there to be a bandwidth Mbps limitation per device?
No
9. Do you need Public or Private IP addresses?
Private IP addresses, public at the gateway
10. Do you want users to access the WiFi through a splash page?
11. Are interfaces to third party systems or services required?

12. Is there a POS (Point of Sale) requirement? Do you need PCI compliance?
Yes, PCI compliance will be required. However, PCI compliance is the responsibility of the merchant processing and storing payment information. PCI compliance should follow state and federal law.
13. Do you need content filtering on this network?
14. Regarding Price Sheet and use of outdoor PtP radios, should the PtP radios be included in the Equipment Lease or Internet Service?
Yes, price in the equipment you would use in the equipment lease CLIN.
15. The instruc�on for the technical response prompts us to propose a solu�on per PWS paragraph
1.1 for 100Mbps service at building 4100.
Correct the instruc�ons to offerors prompts the quote for Bldg 4100 to reflect 100Mbps. The full price list for speeds and equipment will be completed in the proposal price list.
16. PWS 1.1. As the proposed solu�on requires a solu�on to be provided no later than 30 calendar days a�er request for survey and upon award of contract, can you confirm what you need for this response?
This verbiage is only applicable for site survey post award of the contact.
17. We will need the loca�ons of the outdoor APs for an accurate bid. There are no obvious outdoor AP loca�ons on the provided building site map.
There are no Outdoor AP’s for Bldg 4100
18. Can we provide quotes that contrast and compare technical benefits between 100mbps dedicated symmetrical and asymmetrical op�ons?
Yes, you may however the only asymmetrical is required.
19. Will the new 100 Mbps internet connec�on be routed through the current For�net 60F WAN port located in the IDF? If yes, GSW will need a technical main point of contact to coordinate the implementa�on of the 100mbps internet circuit.
