15. 1.2.1 a. When you state 60‐160 C2 Systems, is this a range of support or is there 160 total systems in place? Can you provide the count for physical and what is virtual?

612 AOC – That is the range of systems that will be assigned to the individual to work on. Individual will work in a work center along with other military personnel who will be sharing the overall workload

16. 1.2.1 b. When you state 60‐100 C2 operating systems, is this a range of support or is there 100 total operating systems in place? What operating systems are currently in place?

612 AOC – The numbers refer to the overall number of servers in the work center; again, individual will be working along other military personnel who will be sharing the overall workload. Servers range from standard commercial type servers such as MS Active Directory, Exchange, CITRIX, etc., to unique DoD systems such as GCCS‐J, TBMCS, MAAPTK, etc.

17. 1.2.1 c. What is the current frequency of software and patches installed?

612 AOC – Security patches are delivered monthly, minor updates are provided quarterly, and major updates occur generally 2‐3 times a year

18. 1.2.1 d. When you state 50‐100 systems, is this a range of support are is there 100 systems total?

Can you provide the server types current in use?

612 AOC – This is a range of support as not all servers are affected at any given time; the AOC WS provides guidance on when and which servers require maintenance activity

19. 1.2.1.f. Can you provide the hardware type for the 900 AOC small computer/terminals and how many are physical vs virtual?

612 AOC – Physical hardware type varies but are generally standard commercial products (ie Dell, HP, ACE, etc.); virtual clients are WMWare clients built on a Win7 or Win10 virtual OS.

20. Does the environment currently require both LAN and WAN support?

612 AOC – Primarily LAN but we interface with other DoD system across the DoDIN

21. Can you provide how many customer/user support calls, on average, are received, processed, closed on a monthly basis?

612 AOC – On average about 250 are assigned to this workcenter per month; with approximately 10‐12 personnel available to work at any given time.

22. 1.2.1.i. States 150 computers, server or LAN systems, are these part of the equipment called out in

1.2.1 f? If not, is this in addition to all the other systems identified in 1.2.1 a – f?

612 AOC – This are part of the items identified in 1.2.1.f, but due to nature of the changes being made, have to be coordinated with the Comm Focal Point (CFP) due to impacts to other systems/clients.

23. 1.2.1. L – How many C2 systems administrators would require weekly support?

612 AOC – Generally 1‐2

24. 1.2.1. N / 1.8 – Can you provide locations for travel and expected frequency per location?

612 AOC – Most travel is to support system development, testing or exercises in VA, FL, CO, IL, and MA.

Planning on no more than 3 trips per year at this time.

25. 1.2.1.1 d. Is there a current inventory list available that could be provided?

612 AOC – It can be provide upon contract award

26. 1.2.1.1 f. Is the site Configuration Manager currently a contract position or government position?

612 AOC – Government with support from contractor.

27. 1.2.1.1 g. Are there existing training plans in place for this requirement?

612 AOC – Yes for government personnel; contractors will participate in any training being provided by the WS for new systems/application, but not to catch them up.

28. 1.2.1.1 m. Can you provide details/descriptions on what unit training that is required?

612 AOC – As noted above, when new systems or applications are fielding by the SPO, we receive associated operator and maintainer training; the SYSAD will participate in the SYSAD training if any is provided in these situations

29. Can you provide a listing/count of equipment listed in 1.2.3 a – b?

612 AOC – Can be provided upon contract award, but in general, two A/V matrices, 12 x large data wall type projectors (Christie M‐Series), and 12 x conference room type projectors (assorted brands).

30. 1.2.3.1 b – What is the frequency for remedial maintenance?

612 AOC – As most of the hardware is commercial, frequency is drive by the vendor recommended PMI schedules with some requiring monthly, quarterly, or yearly PMIs; some equipment is only touched when it goes down.

33. 1.2.1.e through 1.2.1.g ‐ each of these entries is to "assist" and implies that other parties have primary responsibility for these pieces. What level of assistance is typically required and/or how many staff members are primarily responsible for these items? Is the primary responsible party the MX in paragraph 1.2.2?

612 AOC – The word “assist” was used because the government is always ultimately responsible for mission equipment; contractor will be a member of a government led team and not be solely responsible for accomplishing these tasks as noted above.

39. While staff is required to travel (to attend meetings and other events), does support level need to stay intact at Davis‐Monthan AFB or will support be adjusted accordingly when staff is travelling to CONUS location(s)?

612 AOC ‐ Because contractor is part of a work center, if the individual is tasked by the government to travel, tasks will be performed by the remaining work center members while individual is in travel status.

46. What hardware will be administrated and maintained? i.e., SUN, MS, CISCO, Red Hat etc this helps in determining the skill set needed for Key Personnel.

612 AOC ‐ Our systems and applications are a combination of SUN, MS, CISCO, Red Hat, VMWare, vSphere, Oracle, Sybase, SQL, McAfee products to include antivirus and firewalls, Christie and Extron audiovisual equipment, switches and routers, CISCO Nexus etc. The SYSAD will be primarily concerned with patching and administering the software side; while the MX techs focus on the hardware side, with the hardware maintenance tech focusing on the IT hardware (CISCO, Dell, HP, NetApp, SUN, etc.) and the A/V MX tech focusing on the audiovisual type of hardware (Christie, Extron, AMX, assorted LCD/TV brands and projectors, etc.).
