Question: I see a few of the gases on the list don’t have a descriptions? Can you provide more detail of the percentages of the gas on the Lung Diffusion size 200, the Compressed Gas (NOS) tan size (D)?
Answer: The Cardiopulmonary Flight uses a variety of medical gases. Most of which are used in the pulmonary department. Our pulmonary function testing(PFT) machines require daily calibration. It is calibrated with a two different mixers of gasses. One mixture of 16%O2, 4%CO2, and BAL N2. Another with a mixture of 26%O2, and BAL N2. For daily patient care pulmonary testing our machines requires size H tank 100%O2 and a size H tank Lung Diffusion study mixture of .2959% Methane, 20.96% Oxygen, and Balanced Nitrogen. And of course we use many size D and E tank od 100% oxygen to administer Oxygen desaturation studies...
