Questions & Answers FA486119QA034 Air Show Logistics Support

Q1. Is water available from Facility near tent build locations (hose/hydrant) for water-barrel ballasts or do you recommend we (contractor) provide via water truck? If we should provide a truck, is a hydrant available on-site for filling?

A1. The base Civil Engineers will have a water truck used to fill the water-barrel ballasts.

Q2. Where the Government does provide k-rail type ballast for tents, can we presume that would be “instead of” water-barrel ballast?

A2. The government shall provide 6 or 8 foot wide concrete barriers for ballast for the tents, the amount of barriers shall be determined by the 99th Civil Engineering Squadron in conjunction with the contractor at the coordination meeting. The preferred method of anchoring the tents is water barrels.

Q3. Re: 1.8 Would multiple 45 KVA ultra-quiet diesel generators be acceptable (less cabling/cable ramp/More ADA friendly) rather than a 150KVA with extensive cabling and ramps?

A3. As long as the requirements are met, 45 KVA ultra-quiet diesel generators be acceptable and they don’t create a safety hazard with additional cords.

Q4. Re: 1.6 Search Pits main base and LVMS: Can you estimate how many Mag/Search security lanes you would like at the 3 Main Base control points and 5 LVMS locations?

A4. 21 Metal Detectors for 99 SFS on main base

41 Metal Detectors for 799 SFS at the speedway

Q5. 1.5.1.6 UAS Video Display Tent mentions “connection of the Rover to the T.V.s”… Can you elaborate on what type of signal the Rover provides?

A5. There will be no live video feed from any aircraft. The ROVER feed discussion isn’t relevant. It should be as a simple as hooking up a TV to the appropriate video source that has the pre-recorded content (DVD player, computer, etc).
