FA4861-15-R-B028 Questions & Answers

The questions are listed (except for minor edits to achieve non-attribution) exactly as submitted.

Responses do not qualify or change the terms and conditions of the solicitation.

Question 1: Is this a new requirement?

Answer 1: No, this requirement is a recompete due to the current bridge contract expiring.

(Contract #: FA4861-14-P-0005)

Question 2: Who is the incumbent and what is the current value of the total contract?

Answer 2: Western Linen Services is the incumbent contractor and the total value of this bridge contract is $474,916.27.

Question 3: I noticed that you requested price per pound and price per piece.

However, in said solicitation the lists omit the number of pieces or the weights for some of the items.

Most of the items we price per weight. However, weight information is missing.

How can we price the pillows or sheets without knowing the weight?

Answer 3: The reason we want price per piece for certain items is due to the fact that we do not have a weight scale at the buildings these particular items are located in. Therefore instead of weighing at these locations we must do a piece count. This creates a need for pricing by piece count for these items.

Question 4: Are we required to use the forms listed in the Appendix of the solicitation (should we win the contract)?

Answer 4: You are not required to use those exact forms however you must use an approved equivelant.

Question 5: Exterior Front / Rear Lights of Vehicle – Do you want rear flashing lights as well? The front is defined, but not the rear.

Answer 5: Rear flashing lights are required as well.
