Q1: As per detail 01 & 02 on page C-504 "Pavement Details", what would be the depth of the saw cut to be considered being that many spalls have already been repaired and the original spall edge can not be verified?
CE Response:
Refer sheet C-502 details of concrete depth and specification section 32 01 29.61 paragraph 3.3.2 for supplemental information.
Q2: As per the Statement of Work (paragraph 2.3), the contractor needs to remove and repaint all pavement marking and striping. The repainting shall comply with the established phasing plan. The existing pavement markings and striping plan was not provided. For estimating purposes, how do we go about quantifying the striping needed for this project?
CE Response:
10600 S.F of painting and markings are required for removal and re-installation based on the scalable C-101 markings identified with-in the Scope of Work. Markings Type TT-P-1952 and Glass beads FS TT- B1325 Type I, Gradation A will be required per specification section 32 17 24.00 10. Removal of existing Markings on PCC shall be limited to 95% to avoid scarifying the existing pavement.
