FA483024Q0029

27 Jun 2024 Catholic Musician RFQ/Solicitation Questions & Answers:

1.Question: Regarding the aforementioned opportunity, could you kindly provide further details on the insurance requirements for the musician? Specifically, I am interested in understanding the type of insurance and the extent of coverage that is necessary.
Answer: Basic Liability coverage for minimum amount(s).
2.Question: Is there an incumbent in place at this time? If so, are you able to provide the incumbent's name (awardee), the award number and the award amount?
Answer: Awardee: Midge Properties; Contract #: FA483019CA015,Awarded Price: $55,500.00.
3.Question: Is there an opportunity for the musician to begin the assignment prior to September 1, 2024?
Answer: The contract awardee will be provided Chaple contact information immediately after award notification, if necessary, awardee will be provided a base pass to enter Moody AFB Main Gate and will be welcomed to meet and greet Catholic Priest and Chapel staff. This will provide an opportunity for awardee to ensure proper understanding of SOW, if necessary and to tour the Base Chapel, etc... Contract will be awarded a few weeks prior to 1 Sept 2024, however, official contract start date is Sunday, 1 Sept 2024.
4.Question: Are funds currently available and ready to be awarded at the time the assignment is scheduled to commence?
Answer: YES
5.Question: Per the RFQ doc and the SOW, it appears as though the musician is needed for a weekly service (2 hours per week for Sunday mass I assume) with the possibility of additional services rendered when necessary. If we decide to submit a quote, can we quote based on the price per service? I'm inquiring about this method of response given this would be a firm fixed price contract.
Answer: All quotes should fully utilize Attachment 2 - Pricing Schedule by providing Unit or Monthly price and total price for each CLIN. The Pricing Schedule format supports a firm-fixed price contract. Another method of providing Pricing Information is for Offeror to fill in page 3 – 4 of the Solicitation/RFQ/SF 1449. Each week, the Catholic Musician is responsible for a 1-hour rehearsal and to perform during 1-hour Sunday Mass.

In addition to All Sundays, see SOW, Para 1.6.2.1.1. Other days include - Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Ash Wednesday, Holy Triduum, The Assumption, All Saints, & Immaculate Conception, etc... each requires one extra hour of rehearsal and one extra hour of service.

6.Question: Section 1.6.1 in SOW: "shall attend weekly rehearsals for the choir” . Are we to understand the facility already has a choir of singers? If so, exactly what Musicians are you looking for? Piano? Vocalist? Music Director? Specific Instruments? Full Band?
Answer: This Solicitation/RFQ is requesting a quote for One (1) Pianist.
7.Question: Section 2.1 in SOW: “shall ensure all audio/visual equipment are setup and tested”. Does the facility currently have sound engineers and/or an audio/visual technical team to run a soundboard & lighting board during performances? If not, is this something we will need to provide?
Answer: There is no need to provide soundboard & lighting board. We currently use a sound system which suffices our services. The Catholic Musician/Pianist will be responsible to use switch to turn on the organ only.
8.Question: On the solicitation where is tell you to complete blocks 12,17,23,24,and 30. I just want to confirm, is block 23,24 required.
Answer:Block 12 is Optional.
Block 17a, please fill in.
Block 23, Do Not Fill.
Block 24, Please fill in Total Amount only (All 5 years), however,---if using Attachment 2 – Pricing Schedule, this is optional.
Block 30a, Please sign.
Block 30b, Please fill in.
Block 30c, Please fill in.
9.Question: Also, if I completed the pricing schedule excel form, do I also submit the Supplies or Services & Prices or Costs information.
Answer: No, you are not required to fill in Page 3 & 4 of Solicitation RFQ (SF 1449) if you have already filled in Attachment 2 - Pricing Schedule. Filling in one or the other is sufficient, both are not required to fill in.
