FA483022QS001 Paramedic Services Questions and Answers

1. Q: Referencing section 1.4 (PWS) The Paramedics shall operate under the medical direction of the awarded Contractor’s Medical Director and protocols.

Is the Medical Director required to be on site or can it be a corporate medical director?

A: The Medical Director does not have to be on site and can be a corporate Medical Director.

2. Q: Referencing section 3.0 (PWS) Will the government provide the narcotics required on the ambulance?

A: Yes, the government will provide the required narcotics for Paramedic Services.

3. Q: Referencing section 3.4 (PWS) How many ambulances will the contractor need to staff?

A: The contractor will only need to staff one (1) ambulance.

4. Q: During a normal daily schedule, how many paramedic positions will need to be filled?

A: During the normal daily schedule, one (1) paramedic will be on shift. Paramedic services are required twenty-four (24) hours per day, seven (7) days per week, three hundred sixty-five (365) days per year.

5. Q: 2. Are there minimum or maximum restrictions on shift lengths?

A: There is no minimum restriction on shift length. The maximum restriction on shift length is forty-eight (48) hours.
