The work areas are located around building 115 and associated parking lot, building 210 and associated parking lots, building 733 and the POW/MIA area (See Attachment 5 – Performance Area Photos). The contractor shall begin service within 10 business days following notice to proceed from 23d Contracting Squadron (CONS) Contracting Officer (CO).
The contractor shall coordinate project start with the 23d Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) Point of Contact (POC). The contractor shall be responsible to coordinate a base dig permit with the POC at least seven (7) days prior to start of work. The dig permit and associated markings shall be maintained by the contractor until all work is complete.
1.1. The contractor shall remove POC identified existing shrubbery, dead trees, concrete curbing (POW/MIA area only) and landscape cloth within landscaped areas, to include all debris caused during removal. Organic material, once removed, may be transported and disposed of at Moody AFB organic debris collection point as directed by the POC or, at the contractor’s discretion, may be transported along with any man-made materials which shall be disposed of off base, at contractor expense.
1.2. Work will be performed within red boundary areas on photos as shown in Attachment 5 – Performance Area Photos. The only exception is the two small areas directly in front of building 115, within the blue boundary areas, which are not included in this SOW.

After the topsoil has been spread and the final grade approved, it shall be cleared of all grade stakes, surface trash or other objects that would hinder installation and/or maintenance of turfgrass sod and other plantings. Paved areas over which hauling operations are conducted shall be kept clean and any soil or debris which may be brought upon the surfacing shall be promptly removed. The wheels of all vehicles shall be kept clean to avoid tracking soil on the surfacing of roads, walks or other paved areas.
1.5. The contractor shall install centipede sod in all disturbed areas. Sod shall be installed with few, if any, visible gaps or holes between sod sheets. The contractor shall mechanically roll the identified sodded areas. The contractor shall water the turfgrass sod immediately after transplanting to prevent drying. As sodding is completed in any one section, the entire area shall be lightly rolled. It shall then be thoroughly watered to a depth sufficient to ensure the underside of the new sod pad and soil immediately below the pad are thoroughly wet. The general contractor shall be responsible for having adequate water available at the site prior to and during installation. The contractor shall water centipede sod for at least 30 days following installation or

The contractor shall minimize runoff or excess watering and water waste.
