Question 1: Can you clarify the following requirement? Is this a total of (4) or (4) lights forward facing and (4) lights aft facing? “Flood Lights: At Least 4 (18w) LED floodlights, installed (aft facing and forward facing) forward lights switched together and aft lights switched together.”
Answer:
Intention is to always ensure adequate visibility, to include nighttime operation. At least 150-degree visibility from forward lights. goal is to have as close to 360-degree lighting as possible. Other options will be considered on a best value basis, if it meets the intent. 1000 Lumens minimum.
Question 2: Is there a suggested/reference/example make and model for the floodlights?
Answer:
Doctor LED Marine.
Question 3: Considering a 1-piece windshield specified, is a direct glaze windshield comprised of two pieces of glass acceptable? What is the intent?
Answer: 1 Peace hardened glass for safety made to withstand a wave hitting it/ocean ops.
Question 4: There is no requirement for a trailer. Is this correct?
Answer: Yes.
Question 5: Are you accepting of an equivalent alternative to the 2000W inverter?
Answer: No.
Question 6: What is expected to power the loudspeaker?
Answer: Amplifier.
Question 7: Is there a requirement for a video camera to go with the main display?
Answer: No.
Question 8: Is there a desired screen size for the main display GPS/Sonar?
Answer: At Least 12”.
Question 9: Is there a desired transducer?
Answer: Stainless Steel Thru-Hull.
Question 10: Will the Air Force consider milestone payments on this contract in lieu of Net 30 terms?
Answer: The Air Force will only consider Net 30 Terms.
Question 11: Will performance bonds be required?
Answer: performance bonds are not required.
Question 11: Should the hull be fiberglass or aluminum?
Answer: Heavy duty Aluminum only.
Question 13: Does the Air Force have an anticipated delivery date requirement?
Answer: Within a year.
