QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

17 Jan 2014

Question 1. What is mobilization?

Ans 1. Mobilization is a period where the new contractor mobilizes their physical and manpower resources in order to assume the duties of the contract on a contract start date.

Q2. How is the new contractor going to handle items that have been packed by the outgoing contractor but not yet shipped?

Ans 2: The outgoing contractor that picks up goods from a residence will complete the origin process even if the final contract date occurs before the GBL linehaul carrier loads from his warehouse.

Likewise, on inbound shipments, the former contractor would continue to provide storage and residence delivery on shipments received prior to the final date of the contract.
