Questions/Answers
1- Will the contractor install the units?
Yes, the price should include all labor to install the units and all vents, hoses, etc.
2- Are there any elevators in building 1036?
No, building 1036 has 3 floors and the units will be distributed one unit for every two rooms.
3- Are there any old units that need to be removed?
No, there are no old units that need to be removed.
4- Is it 110V or 220V?
There is one receptacle and it is 220V.
5- Will a taller machine work?
A taller machine will work. The shortest part of the ceiling is 7 feet tall. The most important thing is that it can’t be more than 27” in width.
6- Is it 3 prongs or 4 prongs?
It is 4 prongs.
7- Does it need to be energy star?
NO, it is preferred but not required.
8- Is there any maintenance required?
No, only installation.
9- Are the vents, water spigots and electrical outlets already in place and ready to be hooked to?
Yes.
10- Does the single side by side unit of washer and dryer need to be ADA compliant?
Yes.
11- The solicitation calls for commercial type units; however the manufacture and part number is a residential unit.
The solicitation called for a commercial type unit; however, it should be a residential type unit instead due to the fact that these units won’t be in a centralized laundry room. Each unit will only be shared by two people.
