About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document for a Technician Coveralls federal contract opportunity.

The requirement involves providing technician coveralls for approximately 25 personnel at MacDill Air Force Base, with an expectation of workforce consistency throughout the contract term, though personnel changes due to temporary duty assignments and permanent change of station moves are anticipated. Contractors must supply 7 sets of coveralls per technician, which is the standard quantity for Vehicle Management to accommodate unexpected situations. Shop towels are required but color is not critical; durability is the primary factor. Initial delivery must occur within 4-6 weeks with no special customization required. The coveralls will be exposed to engine oil, transmission fluid, hydro fluid, and mogas/diesel, necessitating specialized laundering capabilities. Contractors are responsible for replacing lost or damaged garments during transport to and from MacDill; however, Vehicle Management personnel will replace garments damaged beyond normal wear and tear at contract conclusion.

Each coverall requires personalization with two name tapes sewn into the chest area—one with the technician's name and one with the 2T3 logo and shop name. The contractor must provide the name tapes and is responsible for garment tracking during pickups and deliveries. There is no incumbent contractor for this new requirement. Award will be made on a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable basis. No estimated annual personnel turnover rate or temporary duty assignment projections are available.
