Statement of Work (SOW)
Project: Fitness Area Sunshade
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Provide a sunshade over and existing 20’ x 35’ concrete slab with 12’ clear height.
2.0 Background: USSOCOM is building a new fitness area for the SOCOM headquarters. There is a 20’ x 35’ slab in place with a BeaverFit Fitness Locker on it. SOCOM is requesting a fabric sunshade with metal from to be installed over the slab. The slab has a 18”x 18” thickened slab edge to support the sunshade.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: Provide and install sunshade.
o Address: 7701 Tampa Piont Blvd, Tampa FL 33621 o Provide sunshade to cover the existing slab and fitness locker with
12” overhang o Clear Height required is 12’-8” o 12” rigid valance o Sunshade is to be fabric/vinyl with rigid metal frame (fabric is to be removable for extreme weather conditions) o Fabric is to be fire rated.
o Contractor to provide all necessary engineering design/services o Contractor to provide attachment to slab.
o Color of fabric to be chosen by government from standard colors.
o From to be painted to match fabric.
4.0 Government Furnished: Sunshade is to attach to existing concrete slab.
Slab is 6” concrete with 18”x18” thickened slab edge. Slab is approximately 20’x 35’. Contractor to verify size of slab.
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule: Contractor to provide sketch/drawing of sunshade prior to start of fabrication for government approval. Final delivery and installation to be 60 days from notice to proceed.

8.0 Security Requirements: The SOCOM headquarters is a secure facility.
All site visits must be coordinated with SOCOM POC. Contractor personnel will not be allowed to enter the SOCOM facilities.
The SOCOM campus has a buffer area with limited vehicle access. Access through this area for equipment and materials will require SOCOM escorts.
Tools and equipment will not be allowed to remain in buffer zone overnight.
Photography is not allowed.
