Question and Answers FA481421TF125
QUESTION
1 When would the Government like to start the project? End the Project? As soon as possible
2 Will the Government consider a site survey for bidders prior to the RFQ due date? There will not be a site visit.
3 In document Attachment 1- Tech Upgrade CCTV PWS MacDill.pdf section 2.1.5 states Contractor to provide rack mounts. Please confirm this means Contractor will install a rack in each building.
Would the Government prefer wall mount or floor standing racks and confirm sufficient space is available. The current setup already has mounts for the DVR's that are being replaced.
Reutilizing those is 100% fine on our side.
4 In document Attachment 1- Tech Upgrade CCTV PWS MacDill.pdf section 2.1.2 states Contractor shall deliver and install commercial CCTV to meet the Customer's requirements:
a. Can the Government provide building floor plans with desired coverage areas?
b. Does the Government have a camera design and if so can they please provide along with any camera specifications?
This is a simple remove the current camera, and replace with an upgraded camera utilizing pre-existing wiring.
5 Is this a replacement of an existing system? If so, are there any areas the existing system does not cover which need to be covered by the new system?
Replacement of Cameras & DVR units ONLY.
6 If this is a replacement of an existing system, what type of cable was used to connect the old cameras? Is the old cabling in good working condition and able to be reused or does the Government require the cabling replaced?
The current camera utilzes BNC/Siamese connections. All wiring is in good working order.
7 What resolution is desired of the Video cameras? Highest possible using BNC/Siamese 8 What is desired retention or storage period for video recording footage? 30-45 Days. Current system records if motion, that setup works perfectly fine for our usage.
9 Are in-ceiling mounts or surface mounts desired for the indoor cameras? Current setup is turret cameras.
10 In document Attachment 1- Tech Upgrade CCTV PWS MacDill.pdf section 4.1.6 specifies "obtain technical assistance relating to the WLAN". Please confirm there is an existing WLAN in place at each building in the SOW and if so please clarify what support the Contractor needs to provide.
This will entail connecting the DVR system to the commercially provided internet within each building.
11 In document Attachment 1- Tech Upgrade CCTV PWS MacDill.pdf section 3.7 specifies a Windows 10 OS computer to act as a C2 system that will integrate with WLAN. Please clarify if this system will connect to an existing WLAN or if the Contractor will provide a new WLAN.
Existing
12 Will any Government Furnished Equipment be provided (e.g. switches or firewalls) No
13 Does the Government require individual firewalls at each building? No.
14 Are there any other hardware requirements; for example Equipment must be on the APL, TAA or
FIPS 140-2? I am unsure of this question.
15 Can we co-locate our equipment in the MDF, IDF and TRs? The existing systems are not in the MDF's, but ethernet is able to reach them, or Wi-Fi if the DVR system has that capability.
16 Is sufficient space available in cable ways and trays for cable distribution (if needed) throughout the buildings and between floors? Due to reusing existing wiring, I don't think this is needed.
17 Is electrical power available in the MDF, IDF and TR's of each building? If not will the Government install as needed?
18 Where is the MDF located (room number) in each building? Varies in each building, but all near where the DVR setup will be.
19 What are the room numbers of the IDF and telephone rooms TRs in each building and on each floor? There is a Communication's Closet on each floor of each building.
20 If there is one Commercial DMARC for the base, will the Government provide infrastructure; ie fiber, to extend the commercial internet circuits to each building within the PWS or will the contractor be responsible? Being that the connections will go to a commercial internet connection within each building, I don't think this question is relevant.
21 Is there one Commercial DMARC for the base or does each building have its own? Please provide DEMARC location(s) (physical address, building #, and room number) that are relevant for this PWS. Each building has its own.
22 Who is the current Internet Service Provider (ISP)? If multiple providers for differing locations, please identify by location Spectrum
What are the details for this requirement concerning the quantity of cameras that are to be provided ineach building? 16 camera per building (5 bldgs) total: 80 cameras
Is there drawings of the work scope? Drawings attached. We don’t need new wiring, will utilize existingwire. The existing wire is BNC.
What is the number of cameras, size of the nvr as well as information on the data rooms and where you want racks mounted? We are requesting dvr not nvr and they will be connected to commercial internet provided by the dorms. We want to view all bldgs. from bldg. 370. We also don’t need racks.
Should the cameras be on the Air Force’s latest non-nuclear CMD list (May 2021)? I would assume the cameras should be on the non-nuclear list. I am unfamiliar with that listing though however.
