REFUSE RECYLCING SERVICES
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
1 There was no SF 1449 Posted. Will there be? No there will not be an SF 1449 posted.
2 There was no site visit information posted. Will there be a government sponsored site visit?
If not, how will the contractor be able to evaluate the condition of the GFE?
Yes. Site visit will be held on 15 Jul @9:00am.

3 PWS, Table 2, page 26- What does LS Steam stand for? The LS stands for loose stream in the compartmental recycling dumpsters.
4 PWS, Table 2, page 26- What does RA and MD stand for under Disposal? The RA stand for
Recycle America and MB stand for MacKay Bay disposal sites. However the recycling is currently being carry to Republic Services recycling center.
5 PWS, Table 2, page 26- Several container reflects a "Y" under Schedule. What are their frequency of service per week, or month? The contractor should be inspecting containers weekly and meeting with the COR for the disposal agreement times. The COR can request that the dumpster be dump if he determines that there is a need.
6 PWS 1.3.1, Should the last sentence reference Line Item x009, and not x018? Yes 1.3.1 should be referencing CLIN x0009 for MSW disposal funding. It will be corrected in the PWS.
7 Line Item Description x003- Is this for Refuse Front End Loader containers only? Yes these are 8 yard FEL dumpsters.
8 Line Item x011- Can the government provide the number of collections per year? The regulated waste is normally dump about two time a month it depends on the times of year.

9 Line Item x016- Please list the applicable collection station building numbers, the number of containers by size, and their frequency of collection per week/month. The collection station and dumpster size are listed in the PWS by building number.
10 Line Item x007 and x019, what is the difference in the task on these two CLINS? The X0007 refers the curbside recycling containers and the tracking monitoring system that is re quire to make the system operate (computer system). 0019 refers to the overall collection of cardboard dumpster and other recycling process.
11 PWS, Table 2, page 26- What is Hill Transfer? This is referencing the Hillsborough Country disposal site.
12 Line Item x017- Is this for the 30 CY Self Contained Compactor at building 1078 only? Yes
1078 compactor.
13 Line Item x003- What type of services does this include? (For example: Roll Off, FEL Refuse, FEL Recycle, Curbside Totes, Common Cans) x0003 is talking about FEL services 4, 6, and 8 yard dumpsters for events.
14 PWS, Table 2, pages 25 & 26- Are any of the Roll Off station numbers 196-201 repeated in the Recycle Roll Off list, or, are they all separate containers? The recycling and MSW are separate containers.
15 PWS 3.3, Please confirm the government will furnish all shredder box equipment in support of this service, including the receiver container and the shredder. Confirmed the government will provide shredder box for the services 3.3.
16 PWS page 26, Compactors- Will the contractor be required to furnish any compactor accessories, including transition walk platforms, loading ramps, handrails, stairs/steps, etc.?
The contractor will be require to furnish all equipment that is needed to operate the compactors.
17 PWS 1.2.6- Should the curbside bins with RFID tag be listed in the government furnished property at PWS 3? The government can provide a list of the curbside bin and there location.
18 PSW 1.1.1.2- Are the referenced bins here the same as the Totes listed in 1.1.1.1.? Yes the totes are referring to both 1.1.1.2 and in 1.1.1.1.
19 Which recycle facility does the comingled recycle collection materials normally go? The recycling comingle is currently being carry to CMC RECYCLING TAMPA.
20 Which facility does the C&D materials normally go? C& D is currently carry to Republic
Services center in Tampa.
21 PWS 1.2.3 - Is the contractor required to have someone at the transfer station, Building 885, during all operating hours? Yes building 885 is required to have someone there during hour of operation.
22 Can the government provide a list of all contractor provided equipment and containers by size and number that may be required at the base transfer station, if this information is not already listed in the PWS under pick up points, Compactors, Recycle Roll Offs, etc.? This information is in the PWS. See dumpster by building location.
23 PWS 1.6- What subcontractor does the current contractor use for the Universal Waste? The universal waste is being haul by Renew & Recycle INC 10911 Endeavour Way, Seminole, Unit
B2 LF 33777.
24 Table A-2, Compactors; will the Government please provide historical data for how often all of the compactors on base are hauled? The compactors are dumped once a week for most building.
25 Reference Methods of Evaluation Factor #2- If a Joint Venture is considered, with no other history of past performance together as a JV, (a first time Joint Venture) will both companies each be required to provide 3 past or present relevant contracts? Both companies are required to meet the past performance requirements set forth in the solicitation.
26 Please confirm this project will all exercised options could result in a Base Year, 6 each Option Years, and a possible 6-month extension. Confirmed.
27 Will the government allow for an economic adjustment for disposal fees, recycle processing fees, or regulated disposal waste fee in the event they increase after award? Answer will be provided on 9 Jul.
28 Will the government allow for an economic adjustment for fuel price increases in the event they increase? Answer will be provided on 9 Jul.
29 PWS 1.7. - What subcontractor provides the hauling and disposal service to the Regulated (International) Waste? This is done by current contractor. No sub-contractor.
30 PWS 1.2.6- Does the government provide all RFID data collection hardware and software, along with maintenance to both? No this equipment must be provided by the contractor.
31 What type of 8 cubic yard FEL containers will be required? (Slant Style or Flat Top with side doors). The dumpster’s type and size will be up to the contractor. The Government’s requires that they meet the base color scheme and the health, environmental, and safety rule.
32 What size and type recycle bins and Totes will be used? Will they have wheels? The totes all 90 Gal. they are provided by the Government.
